Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan is famous in China, just like in many other countries, because of his amazing acting. Surprisingly, he is the only actor whom Chinese people call “Uncle Aamir.”
Aamir Khan revealed the secret behind his popularity in China. He said that changes in China’s piracy laws made him known in every household.
His movie 3 Idiots, which was based on the Indian education system, became popular in China due to piracy. Because of this film, people in China started calling him “Uncle Aamir.”
He said that Chinese audiences accepted a movie from a different culture with love and respect. After 3 Idiots, his other films like PK and Dangal also became big hits in China.
Now, Aamir Khan and Darsheel Safary, who worked together in Taare Zameen Par, are reuniting after 14 years for the sequel Sitaare Zameen Par.
On the production side, Aamir Khan will be the producer of Rajkumar Santoshi’s film Lahore 1947, starring Sunny Deol in the lead role.
