Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh are in the last leg of the promotional tour for their new film ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’, which releases this week.

Yesterday Alia and Ranveer went to Calcutta for film promotion, Alia also shared pictures from Calcutta. Alia plays the role of a Bengali woman ‘Rani Chatterjee’ in the film, which is why she tried to impress the audience by speaking in Bengali at the promotional event. Ranveer Singh also repeated a few sentences with Alia but he could not speak much Bengali and said ‘Yes, the same, what Alia is saying’.

Alia has shared a video in which she is memorizing Bengali lines, followed by a clip from the ceremony in which Alia says at one point, I forgot my line. Although this forgetfulness was also pre-planned, Alia being a professional actress, it is unusual for her to forget a dialogue. After a few moments of pause, actress Phar Phar started speaking Bengali and the audience kept enjoying her words.
