On January 3, Neelam Muneer shared photos and videos of her nikkah, which quickly went viral. In the shared images, the groom was seen wearing traditional Arabic attire.
Their photoshoot took place at the iconic Burj Khalifa in Dubai, UAE. Observing the groom’s attire, many social media users speculated that Neelam had married an Arab man who might be a prominent businessman.
One user made an inappropriate comment, saying, “They haven’t learned to aim for less.”
In response to the user’s taunt accusing Neelam of marrying an Arab man for wealth, Hina Rizvi defended her. She wrote that marrying a financially stable person is not a sin.
Hina further added that if a woman marries a financially independent man, there is nothing wrong or immoral about it. A wife has the right to live a comfortable life supported by her husband’s resources. However, no one has the right to make such comments about a woman’s personal choices.
