Abrar ul Haq is known as Pakistan’s Bhangra king. Abrar ul Haq grew up in a family of bureaucrats, army officers, and businesspeople, but he always had a passion for music and chose a career path that no one in his family had taken. He eventually became one of the most popular Punjabi singers in the subcontinent, and no wedding is complete without his songs.
Abrar ul Haq appeared on the Black Box podcast and discussed his journey, profession, and future ambitions. He also revealed an amusing interaction with Indian musician Yo Yo Honey Singh, who has a large fan base in Pakistan as well. He said that he received a call from his manager, who informed him that a “woman” named Honey wanted to collaborate on a song with him. He rejected and moved on. His manager received another contact from Honey, at which point he understood it was the popular singer Honey Singh, not a woman named Honey.
Abrar ul Haq then communicated with the Indian vocalist, and the two later collaborated on a track.
