He is a novice who is learning the profession from the greatest and demonstrating his talent with each new assignment.
The actor spoke with the media during the press junket for his play Iqtidar. He was speaking to Miss Dramatic about how YRF approached him and asked him to audition. He stated that he was approached on Instagram by YRF casting, who wanted him to audition for a Ranbir Kapoor sequence from Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.
He recorded and sent them an audition that they liked. Later, they instructed him to book a flight from Kolkatta. That is when he revealed that he is from Lahore and is a Pakistani. This was disappointing for both parties, and they promised to consider him if they ever shot something overseas.
