The narrative was written by the brilliant writer Mustafa Afridi. Saifee Hassan, an acclaimed Pakistani director, directed the show. The drama’s main characters were Sajal Aly and Hamza Sohail. Zard Patton Ka Bunn (ZPKB) was a successful effort due to its performance, direction, production, and outstanding supporting cast.

Ali Tahir recently featured on the Kashf Foundation’s digital media channel, where he interviewed Roshaneh Zafar about ZPKB. Ali Tahir talked about developing and depicting progressive Chacha Afzal, a dispenser at Kaiser Kallan village.

Talking about designing the character, Ali Tahir remarked, “I read the ZPKB script and connected with it. I felt Afzal Chacha’s purity. I also found it pertinent to the tale and related to all of the characters. When I read the script, I realized that Afzal is really close to his father. He frequently talks about his father, so I asked Saifee if I may wear an army jumper that carried memories of his father. After the release, Mustafa stated that his sister informed him that Chacha Afzal used to wear the sweater as part of his personality.
