Famous stage, film, and TV actor and comedian Javed Kodu passed away at the age of 63 in Lahore’s General Hospital after a long illness.
He had been suffering from different health problems for a long time.
Javed Kodu started his acting career in the 1980s. Because of his unique acting style, sense of humor, and short height, he quickly became popular among people.
He acted in more than 150 Urdu and Punjabi films, hundreds of stage plays, and many TV shows.
His health problems lasted for many years. In 2016, he was taken to Ganga Ram Hospital due to a brain artery issue. Later, he was injured in a traffic accident and had surgery for a hip bone injury.
According to his family, Javed Kodu was suffering from diabetes, high blood pressure, and other serious diseases.
He left behind his wife and three sons. The time and place of his funeral will be announced later.
Artists from the film, TV, and stage world have expressed deep sadness over his death and praised his work in the entertainment industry.
