Actress and model Iffat Omar has reacted to Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s decision to dismiss the Medical Superintendent of Mayo Hospital.
She shared her thoughts on the matter through her X account after CM Maryam Nawaz removed the MS following patient complaints.
Iffat Omar reshared the viral video of Maryam Nawaz’s visit to Mayo Hospital and wrote in her X post that publicly humiliating an officer like this is not appropriate. She stated that dismissing someone on national television without properly listening to their side of the story or conducting a fair investigation is unfair.
It is important to note that on March 6, during Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s visit to Mayo Hospital, patients raised numerous complaints.
CM Maryam Nawaz became extremely angry over these complaints.
She strictly reprimanded the hospital administration and immediately ordered the removal of the Medical Superintendent from his position.
Later, several media houses revealed that the MS of Mayo Hospital, who faced the CM’s scolding, had actually resigned three days before his dismissal.
According to media reports, Dr. Faisal had repeatedly requested funds from the Punjab government, and after not receiving them, he had submitted his resignation three days earlier.
