Jafaa – Why Numair Lied To His Family

Jafaa garnered a lot of attention and admiration. The ensemble of the play was excellent, but Usman Mukhtar’s portrayal of Dr. Numair was a popular favorite. Even though the character has received a lot of criticism in recent episodes, Dr. Numair has nevertheless sparked numerous discussions about the show’s issues.

In a recent interview with Mahwash Ajaz, Usman Mukhtar discussed Jafaa and the reasons for his choice. He revealed that he had witnessed a close friend recover from domestic abuse, and that this, along with male infertility, was a factor in his decision to choose Jafaa as his initiative.

According to Usman Mukhtar, he was aware that when Jafaa supporters believed that Numair was a green flag, criticism would follow. Since Numair is a grey character, he understood that the plot would shift after ten more episodes, so he encouraged viewers to wait. And that’s what actually transpired:

According to Usman Mukhtar, Dr. Numair never discussed his illness with his own mother or sister in Jafaa because he feared criticism and their inability to sympathize. It would be simpler to discuss his infertility with his father, whom he had lost, but he was unable to do so with his mother.
