Mathira calls out Chahat Fateh Ali Khan for inappropriate behaviour

Mathira, a Pakistani star and recognized anchor known for her outspoken demeanor and forthright ideas, recently addressed an uncomfortable occurrence involving entertainer Chahat Fateh Ali Khan on her show.

The incident occurred during a concert recording, when Chahat Fateh Ali Khan attempted to touch Mathira, making her uncomfortable. Mathira maintained her composure on set, but her distress was palpable. Chahat Fateh Ali Khan worsened the situation when he published a behind-the-scenes (BTS) footage of the meeting on social media without Mathira’s permission.

Mathira spoke about the incident and voiced her dissatisfaction with the video’s distribution. “I want to clarify that the viral video was not shared with my permission,” she said. She underlined her team’s professionalism, adding that they treat every guest with dignity, but this conduct exceeded what was appropriate.

Mathira acknowledged her uneasiness, saying, “Yes, I felt uncomfortable. People do various things for popularity, but no one has the authority to touch or film me without my permission. I am a daring star, but it doesn’t mean anyone may embrace or touch me without cause.”

The host further claimed that her staff had contacted Chahat Fateh Ali Khan and asked him to remove the video, but he neither erased it nor apologized. “I am not sure what his objectives are, but it is disappointing. People accuse us of being nasty after events like these, but it’s important to set boundaries,” she said.
