“Motherhood is a very powerful tool Allah has given to every woman,” Mehreen Raheel remarked when discussing her decision to leave the media field. “Some children need more time from the parents, especially children who are differently abled. My daughter needed me.” I found it challenging to leave her alone or with someone, but now that I believe she is more self-sufficient, I have made the decision to work.
