Renowned actress Nazish Jahangir has warned those spreading false, misleading, and unverified information about her.
She has threatened legal action under the PECA Act 2016 if the spread of false information about her does not stop.
The actress issued an official warning through an Instagram story on the photo and video-sharing platform Instagram.
She shared a legal notice in her Instagram story and wrote:
“This is an official warning for all individuals, pages, and organizations posting false, misleading, or unverified information about me. If the concerned posts are not removed immediately and a public apology is not issued within 24 hours of this notice, I will be forced to take legal action against all responsible parties for these defamatory posts.”
She further wrote that spreading such false information will result in legal action under the PECA Act 2016, including a formal defamation lawsuit, along with all possible legal proceedings.
It is worth mentioning that yesterday, news surfaced that a judicial magistrate at Lahore’s Cantt Kacheri issued an arrest warrant against Nazish Jahangir on charges of breach of trust, fraud, and issuing threats.
The court has ordered the police to arrest the actress and present her in court on March 22.
However, in her Instagram post, the actress did not mention the arrest warrant issued against her, nor did she clarify what kind of false information is being spread about her.
