Nora Fatehi is extremely angry over the misuse of her name for marketing

Bollywood’s famous dancer and actress Nora Fatehi recently criticized public relations strategies that try to undermine her to promote new songs.

The actress stated that some actors hire PR agencies to market themselves by comparing them to her.

In an interview with BBC Asian Network, Nora Fatehi revealed that some people in the film industry perceive her as arrogant, but in reality, she is just straightforward. She also mentioned that when she wants to do lead roles in films, she is judged, whereas she is mostly limited to dance numbers.

Nora said, “I believe that everyone should get opportunities to do songs and act, but it should be fair for everyone. When I watch these songs, what do I like? That women are coming forward, feeling confident, and trying to perform. But what I don’t like is when everyone uses my name for marketing.”

She further revealed that some actors pay their PR agencies to use her name to promote their songs.

She said, “When they want to market a song, they think, ‘Let’s compare it to Nora,’ and I don’t like that. All PR agencies are doing the same thing. A new song is coming out? Fine. But then they say, ‘Nora’s career is over’ or ‘She can eat 100 Noras for breakfast.'”

Nora added, “I know who is behind this, and I know how much money is spent on it. I receive many PR packages that try to persuade me to do the same, but I refuse. I will not compare myself to anyone or bring someone down. If a song becomes successful, it should be because of my talent, not because people are excited to replace someone else. That is completely ridiculous.”
