Renowned Writer Amna Mufti Defends Nida Yasir’s Show

Amna Mufti, a famous writer, recently defended Nida Yasir and her morning program content. Amna Mufti is a talented Pakistani writer who has written a number of successful dramas, including Sabz Pari Laal Kabootar, Ghughi, Akhri Station, Dil Na Umeed Tau Nahi, Ullu Baraye Farokht Nahi, Dil Muhallay Ki Haveli, Rukhsati, Neelam Kinaray, Jahez, and others. She is well-known for creating issue-based dramas, and her drama serial Dil Na Umeed Tau Nahi was a wonderful piece of literature that addressed human trafficking and other illicit activities.

Recently, she spoke about Nida Yasir’s morning program substance and her target demographic. Amna Mufti recently featured on Irfan Asghar’s program. In the podcast, Amna Mufti defended Nida Yasir’s morning show, Good Morning Pakistan. She noted that her entertainment stuff is mostly intended for housewives.

When asked about Nida Yasir’s show, Amna Mufti remarked, “The show’s target audience is a housewife who leaves her husband to work and used to watch her show while cutting spinach at home; it is her me-time activity. She would undoubtedly find Nida Yasir’s Dubai shopping more appealing than her household tasks. Her shopping is more like medicine for the housewife. Why do you want to make every show lesson-oriented? Our intellectual elites do injustice by criticizing the material because they have all other means of amusement at home; why would they want to grab it from an average housewife?”
