Resham is one of Pakistan’s biggest film stars. She has done some fantastic work in film and television, and she prefers to focus on characters with substance. Resham is also a philanthropist who regularly distributes food to the underprivileged and enjoys cooking the Niyaz herself. She made a specific appeal during Muharram.
We recently witnessed the domestic violence and murder of Sania Zehra, a 20-year-old young mother. There are numerous ambiguities in the case, and the little girls’ account has shocked everyone. This has once again shown the systemic repression of women and how justice is never delivered in such situations. Sania left behind two toddlers.
Resham stated that she had been extremely troubled since learning about Sania’s case a few days ago. She urged the government to give justice. The films and images she’s seen have broken her. She claimed she doesn’t understand how someone can be so harsh.
