Saud Qasmi rose to fame in the 1990s by acting in numerous Lollywood films, after which he established his own production house.
Recently, actor Saud appeared in a podcast with Ahmad Butt, where he blamed actor Shaan and director Syed Noor for the downfall of the Pakistani film industry.
The senior actor stated that Shaan and Syed Noor played a significant role in Lollywood’s decline. He added that those who came before them also focused solely on their own business interests rather than the film industry as a whole.
Saud explained that when he entered the film industry, at least films were being made in Pakistan, and his movies were also successful. However, he clarified that Shaan is not solely responsible for Lollywood’s decline, but rather all of them share the blame.
He further criticized Shaan, stating that Shaan’s biggest issue is that he unnecessarily criticizes and badmouths others while failing to address his own shortcomings.
Saud also shared that he refused to work in violent films, which led to him being sidelined in the industry, prompting him to move to Karachi.
