Singer Jawad Ahmed denies electricity theft

A quarrel has broken out over suspicions of electricity theft at a beauty salon owned by the wife of renowned singer and politician Jawad Ahmed. The musician has angrily denied the charges, calling the case unfounded and politically motivated.

Furthermore, the Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) initiated a case and issued a detection bill of Rs1.3 million, alleging irregularities in electricity usage at the premises.

“The FIR against me is totally fake. “The meter is my property; how can anyone remove it without my knowledge?” he asked, pushing LESCO to provide documentation such as a medical report or video of any wounded employees involved in the matter.

LESCO officials believe the detection bill only covers six months of alleged electricity theft, rather than the maximum 27 months. The police also stated that the parlor’s meter is still missing, and more charges may be issued if it is recovered.

Jawad Ahmed has attacked the FIR, which was filed at the Nawab Town police station, alleging that it lacks a legal basis and is part of an intentional effort to destroy his political name. “I am a politician; this is a purposeful exaggeration. “It is not LESCO’s responsibility to make videos viral,” he declared.
