Dr. Aamir Liaquat Hussain was a well-known Pakistani television broadcaster who gained popularity for his religious program Aalim Online. He was a pioneer of Ramadan broadcasts in Pakistan. He started the Ramadan transmission on Geo Television. Amir also started the game shows. His program, Inaam Ghar, became highly famous. Two years ago, Dr. Aamir Liaquat Hussain died. Recently, former Aalim Online producer Syed Ali Imam spoke with Raftar TV, where he discussed Dr. Aamir Liaquat’s early days of fame when his show Aalim Online became famous.
Reflecting on this moment, he added, “When the first Ramadan arrived following his breakthrough, our concert was set in Dubai. We all assumed that Dr. Aamir Liaquat Hussain would stay in a five-star hotel, while we would be accommodated in a more basic setting. However, he refused and stated, ‘There will be no VIP treatment; I will be remaining with my kids.’ For seventeen years, he kept his pledge. During Ramadan, he would join us outside after the concert, buy us costly clothes, and take us out to supper. He never used monies from the channel’s assigned producer budget; instead, he covered all charges personally.”

Aamir Liaquat also apparently tried to commit suicide before he was a prominent broadcaster. Jaffar Rizvi revealed the tale in a BBC news item. He was depressed when he ate the drugs in huge quantities, and he was concerned about a family issue; nonetheless, he received prompt treatment and was saved. The producer went on to say, “We spent seventeen years with him but we never felt that he could be the one suffering from anxiety or depression”. Waseem Badami stated that Dr. Aamir Liaquat was the most talented person he had ever met, and he repeated this statement several times during his life.

He went on to say that Mir Shakeel Ur Rehman quickly recognized that losing Dr. Aamir Liaquat was a huge loss for him, so he repaired his friendship with him and summoned him back.
