Which dreams did showbiz and fashion stars achieve in 2024?

At the start of every year, people often create New Year’s resolutions to plan, change habits, and improve themselves. While not essential, these resolutions serve as personal goals.

At the end of 2024, Geo Digital asked stars from showbiz and fashion about the dreams they managed to fulfill.

Actress Mehwish Hayat said she had planned to travel extensively in 2024, as everything was shut down during COVID. She traveled as much as possible and enjoyed her time.

Similarly, actress Kubra Khan prioritized traveling and also aimed to stay active on social media while focusing on fitness.

Actor Imran Abbas shared that he never makes specific plans or resolutions for the New Year but used to begin the year differently in the past. He said that if work required him to be away during New Year’s night, he would step out, but otherwise, he didn’t celebrate elaborately. Imran mentioned starting the year with prayers, thanking Allah for the past year, and spending time with his parents, whom he considers most important.

Actor Junaid Khan said self-improvement was a top priority for him, adding that every year, he strives to become the best version of himself.

Actor Yasir Hussain, known for being controversial, had planned to create something impactful for television in 2024. He succeeded in this by working as a director and writer on a TV project called Paradise. He said, “I wanted to write or direct something that could make a difference on the TV screen and influence someone’s thinking.”

Actress Hiba Ali, famous for her role as Kashmala, told Geo Digital that her resolution was to work a lot in 2024 and keep working for the rest of her life.

Singer and actor Asher Wajahat fulfilled his dream of releasing a solo song. He said, “I worked on and released my solo track, Sadqay.” Asher also appeared alongside singer and actor Samar Jafri in director Nabeel Qureshi’s film Na Baligh Afraad.

Rapper Babar Mangi, who gained fame with the Sindhi song Aayi Aayi in Coke Studio Season 15, had planned to settle down, but he hasn’t succeeded yet. Meanwhile, his fellow singer Noman Rajper achieved his dream of getting married. Babar jokingly told Geo Digital, “I planned for a wedding, but the search continues.” Noman, smiling, said he fulfilled his dream and is now waiting for Babar’s wedding.

Fashion designer Pareesha Adnan resolved not to hurt anyone in 2024. When asked how successful she was in keeping her resolution, she replied, “I stopped meeting people altogether.”

Model and actress Maha Tahirani said she doesn’t believe in resolutions and thinks one should do what needs to be done today.

Poet Ali Zaryoun also distanced himself from the idea of resolutions. He said, “I don’t believe in these things. No matter how much we plan, what Allah has planned for us is always better.”
