Noor Jehan’s character Maha is receiving widespread critical and public appreciation.
Zoya Nasir recently appeared on Fuchsia Magazine’s YouTube show, which was presented by Rabia Mughni. During the show, she discussed the dynamics of Maha’s role in the current popular drama Noor Jahan.
When asked why she chose the Noor Jahan script, Zoya Nasir explained, “I had to do this drama because the script was written by the amazing Zanjabeel Asim Shah. Also, Musadik Malik was the director and Six Sigma was the production company, so! I had to do this, I knew it would go well because of Zanjabeel’s composition; she justifies all of the tracks.”

When asked about Maha’s character, Zoya Nasir replied, “We worked hard on Maha. Musadik advised me on how to portray her because, at the time, I was also portraying Nimmi, who was pretty hyper. As a result, Nimmi overtook Maha. Musadik told me to show Maha in a casual and serene manner, as if she didn’t care about anything. Also, Maha is solely concerned with herself; she came to Noor Jahan’s house to care for her infant and has no feelings for Safeer. She is simply trying to figure out which circus she has entered.”
