Champions Trophy prize money announced – how much will the winners get?

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the prize money for the Champions Trophy to be hosted by Pakistan.

According to the announcement issued by the ICC, the winning team of the Champions Trophy will be given a huge prize money of $2.24 million (i.e. more than 620 million in Pakistani rupees), while the run-up team will be given $1.12 million (i.e. more than 311 million rupees).

Similarly, the semi-finalist teams will get $560,000 (i.e. more than 155.5 million in Pakistani rupees).

In total, the teams will be given 53% additional prize money compared to the year 2017.

Each group stage winner will get $34,000, while the fifth and sixth ranked teams in the tournament will be given $350,000, while the seventh and eighth ranked teams will get $140,000.

Furthermore, all 8 teams will also receive a guarantee of $125,000 to participate in the event.
