Pakistan’s renowned actor and host, Danish Taimoor, has clarified his recent statement regarding the permission for four marriages.
It is worth mentioning that Danish Taimoor is currently co-hosting a private TV channel’s Ramadan transmission alongside Rabia Anum.
He made the statement about four marriages when his wife, actress Ayeza Khan, appeared as a guest on the show, which led to severe criticism.
The actor had said, “Allah has permitted me to have four marriages. I can marry four times. Right now, I am not planning a second marriage because of my love and respect for Ayeza Khan.”
Due to severe criticism from social media users, Danish Taimoor now seems compelled to clarify his statement.
During his recent show, while addressing the issue, Danish Taimoor said, “My statement was misunderstood. I meant to say that I am currently with Ayeza Khan, and I have no knowledge of my next moment—when death may come. As long as I am alive, I am with Ayeza. After death, no one can predict anything.”
The actor further added, “I still stand by my previous statement that I have the permission for four marriages. When Allah has allowed me to marry more than once, no one can stop me.”
Danish Taimoor’s latest statement has also gone viral on social media.
Netizens are reacting by saying that Danish Taimoor has made a weak attempt to clarify his statement and that his justification is not convincing.
Many users believe that he tried to support his own statement in a roundabout way, but his original comment was so problematic that no explanation could justify it.
