Director Musaddiq Malek Defends Noor Jahan’s Ending

Noor Jahan is a recently ended, multi-starrer drama with a large viewership. The performance was a huge success, and fans are still talking about the ending, which saw Noor Bano and all of the daughters-in-law forgive Noor Jahan. Musaddiq Malek, the director of Noor Jahan, spoke with The Current about the disagreement over the film’s ending.

Musaddiq Malek, the director of drama, stated that there is an ending known as The Director’s Cut all over the world, and this is The Director’s Cut for Noor Jahan, which people may disagree with.

He went on to say that he intended to convey the notion that generational pain must be healed, and that breaking the cycle and forgiving are crucial. That is why they demonstrated how all of the bahus eventually forgave their saas when she pleaded for forgiveness.

He further revealed that not only Yasir Nawaz, but Rubina Ashraf and four other filmmakers turned down drama because they believed it was a saas-bahu story. It was also rejected by 18 actors before the final cast was determined.
