Mariyam discussed whether she wanted to play the lead alongside Hamza Ali Abbasi, one of Pakistan’s most well-known actors. She stated that she does not care whether she plays a heroine opposite Hamza because they have known one other for years and are more like friends, so being cast as a lead opposite him is not a big deal. If it happens, that’s great, but she’s not actively searching for it.
