Pakistani showbiz star Hiba Bukhari and her husband, Arez Ahmed, have broken their silence on the Nadia Khan controversy.
Recently, while speaking on a private TV show, Hiba and Arez addressed the issue, which fans had been eagerly waiting for, as it had gained significant attention on social media.
Nadia Khan had announced Hiba Bukhari’s pregnancy before she did, leading to criticism for sharing a private matter of an actress.
Speaking on the controversy, Arez Ahmed said that almost everyone in the industry knew they were expecting a child, but they had the decency not to share the news on their own. Similarly, Nadia Khan also knew, like everyone else, but she chose to announce it on television.
Criticizing Nadia Khan, Arez Ahmed said, “Some things are personal, and you should be the one to share them with the world.”
On this occasion, Hiba Bukhari also spoke about the Hum Awards controversy and shared how she was criticized while she was pregnant. Talking about her outfit at the awards ceremony during pregnancy, she said that everyone has their own opinion, and maybe some people were bothered, but she only focuses on herself and doesn’t pay attention to others’ opinions.
Defending his wife, Arez Ahmed said that pregnancy is a natural process, and people should accept it as such. He added that a woman cannot be expected to stay at home just because she is pregnant. “If a woman chooses to work even in her eighth month, it is her choice, and no one should have a problem with it.”
