Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar on Channel’s Injustice With Ishq Murshid Writer
Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar is Pakistan’s most famous writer, former actor, producer, and public speaker. He rose to prominence because of his roles in famous dramas such as Boota From Toba Tek Singh and Landa Bazaar. He also authored popular Pakistani plays such as Sadqay Tumhare, Bunty I Love You, Chand Pur Ka Chandu, Manjali, and Mere Paas Tum Ho. Punjab Nahi Jaungi and London Nahi Jaunga are two of his most successful film screenplays. Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar just made a reappearance on television with a wonderful script. His drama series Gentleman has been showing on Green Entertainment, and people are raving about it.
Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar recently went on Sabih Sumair’s YouTube channel and conducted an interview in which he discussed the unfairness that networks commit to authors after extending their scripts. He responded to a query regarding Ishq Murshid in this respect.
Responding to the question, “Sir Ishq Murshid’s writer claims that the ending of his drama was changed without his consent; what are your thoughts on it?” He remarked, “It’s harsh and demeaning to the writer. It is a complete unfairness. I despise such an act. If you require a few last-minute modifications, discuss it with the writer and ask him to come and rework it. If they modified the writer’s premise, the project would be entirely wrecked. It’s insulting to the writer. “I curse those who do this to writers.”
