We have seen numerous younger ladies cast in older roles where they do not fit well. She was last matched alongside Faysal Quraishi, which was an age-appropriate pairing that was warmly received.
In an interview with Vasay Chaudhary, Laila Wasti stated that she does not mind being cast as the mother of many older actors. She’s fine with it as long as her character is meaty, but being placed as a husband and wife opposite people who are far older than her isn’t appealing. She genuinely enjoys to play widows in such instances.
