Nabeel Zafar Defends His Strict Stance Regarding Award Shows
Nabeel Zafar is an excellent Pakistani actor, host, and producer. He rose to prominence as the star of the smash drama series Dhuwan. His other major ventures are Ajaib Ghar, Din, Qissa Saat Raaton Ka, Daldal, Payal, Shayla Kot, Aansoo, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, Dais Pardes, and Bulbulay.
Recently, Nabeel Zafar featured on Faysal Quraishi’s podcast Pressure Buhat Hai. In the episode, he shared his thoughts on award shows in depth.
Speaking about it, Nabeel Zafar stated, “I have no problems with award shows. Awards are essentially expressions of gratitude, rather than tangible benefits. As a result, when the wrong person receives recognition, the one who deserves it gets hurt. So, prizes are fantastic, but we’ve seen a lot of lobbying here. Nowadays, Pakistani performers who have received pride of performance honors are justifying their achievements. My question is, what is the point of receiving such an honor and then having to explain why you earned it? It’s preferable not to receive an award like this. Award ceremonies should take place, but only for genuine individuals.
