Rashid Mehmood, a senior Pakistani actor, recently made headlines for releasing his high electricity bill for June 2024. His news reached millions of social media users who backed him. Many others stated that they are experiencing the same anguish as a result of inflation, and that it is becoming increasingly difficult for them to cope with the current situation. Many more performers have also found the confidence to speak out against growing electricity costs and the high bills they get.

Humaira Channa, a famous Pakistani singer known for her successful Bollywood songs, has stated that she is severely affected by high electricity expenses. When asked about it, she remarked, “You know, we’re all concerned about inflation. We are also responsible citizens and ambassadors of Pakistan. You’re all aware of the current scenario in Pakistan. We also have high bills. I would push government officials to reduce our bills. I received a bill for 60 thousand pkr. We just use one air conditioner at night and leave it off during the day. We are barely handling it because we have kids at home who are studying at university, and we have to manage everything on our own.
