Saima Qureshi’s Recent Statements Spark Debate
Saima Qureshi is a rising Pakistani television artist recognized for her portrayal of bad characters in popular mainstream programs. She is the cousin of the renowned Pakistani actor Faysal Quraishi. Some of her well-known series are Ishq Beparwah, Ant Ul Hayat, Nehar, Nikah, Juda Huwe Kuch Is Tarha, Amanat, Wafa Kar Chalay, Shahnaz, Bandhay Ek Dour Se, Nand, and many others. She is now earning recognition for her performance as Bakhtawar in Green Entertainment’s popular drama program Duniyapur. Saima Qureshi, a divorced woman, raised her son alone.
She recently appeared on the Adnan Faisal-hosted FHM Podcast. Saima Qureshi advocated the idea of second marriage in an Islamic community.
Saima Qureshi stated, “Blessings and prosperity come from men’s earnings. It is natural for women to mention their financial independence if they are paying for their families, hence males should be the primary earners in an Islamic society. Men also do not require their wife’s permission for a second marriage because the Quran does not contain such a condition. If males are predisposed to extramarital affairs, they should consider a second marriage, as Islam allows it. If a man marries for the second time, his wife may feel horrible for a few days, but she will gradually adjust.
