I generally play sorrowful characters but cannot cry throughout the situations. I can barely cry. The directors frequently tell me, ‘Sarah, please think about something grieving that occurred to you and cry after associating yourself to it’, but I can’t cry, and my response is, ‘Many terrible occurrences have happened in my life, but I don’t feel like sobbing’. So! I usually weep artificially. It’s quite challenging for me.
