Shagufta Ejaz Unhappy With Latest Trends in Drama Industry
Shagufta Ejaz is a renowned Pakistani television actor who has participated in a number of successful drama series. Her first hits were Jangloos, Kashkol, and Aanch. Her other successful plays include Khala Kulsoom Ka Kunba, Upper Gori Ka Makan, Zindagi Dhoop Tum Ghana Sayaa, Zindan, and Mere Damad, among others. Fans praised Shagufta Ejaz’s performance in Mere Damad. Shagufta Ejaz is happily married, with a lovely family. She has four daughters. Her two daughters have married. Shagufta Ejaz is presently shooting for her forthcoming drama serial in Lahore, in which she will portray a Sikh woman.
The actress recently participated on the TV show Gup Shab, presented by Vasay Chaudhry. In the show, she discussed the professionalism of veteran performers against young actors. She also shared her thoughts on the current developments in the theater industry.
Shagufta Ijaz commented on it, saying, “Previous actors had patience, present actors lack tolerance; we had excellence in our art, but now performers lack perfection and maturity. Today’s performers have gained a great deal of success and financial stability in a relatively short period; they have everything, whereas we have spent decades working toward that goal. Also, in the past, performers prioritized their jobs, focused on their art, and had few distractions. “The actors used to prioritize performance over sets and ambiance.”

She went on to say that Pakistani dramas began off by mimicking Indian plays and are still influenced by them. She stated that she would want to see the traditional PTV-style classic dramas return.
