Shehzad Roy is a singer, musician, and activist who has made significant contributions to educational improvement in Pakistan through his trust Zindagi. He has received numerous accolades, including the highest civilian award from the Government of Pakistan for his work with earthquake victims and his efforts in the education sector.
Shehzad Roy spoke with Fuchsia Magazine about his work in schools and the rationale behind all of his charitable efforts in the country. Shehzad admitted that he does not perform any good work with Sawab’s motivation. He explained that his mother does a lot of philanthropic work for Sawab, such as assisting others financially or getting someone married, but that has never been his motive.
