Sunn Mere Dil Faces Strong Criticism

Sunn Mere Dil, a new drama written by Khalil ur Rehman Qamar, premieres on Geo TV. The drama stars Wahaj Ali, Maya Ali, Hira Mani, and others. The drama appears to be a Devdas-style love story, with Wahaj portraying a drunken CEO Bilal Abdullah who would sober up for Sadaf, played by Maya Ali.

In a recent scene with Hira Mani and Usama Khan, toxic masculinity and suicide were encouraged. Hira uses the term Hijra when she asks Usama Khan to swallow poison to prove his devotion. The scene is being chastised for its writing. Meanwhile, viewers believe Wahaj Ali, Maya Ali, and Amar Khan are overacting in numerous portions of the show, and their performances are also being criticized.
