Legendary Pakistani film and music star Noor Jehan’s daughter, Nazia Ejaz Durrani, recently shared memories of her mother’s life.
In an interview with a private TV channel, Nazia talked about her mother’s interesting life. She said Noor Jehan became a star at just 9 years old. She was very famous and loved by fans, but at home, she was just like a normal mother.
Nazia said her mother always cooked food with her own hands and lovingly took care of her children. After the marriage of her elder sister Zille Huma, their mother sent the three younger daughters to a boarding school.
She also said that even after her parents, Noor Jehan and Ejaz Durrani, separated, they had a friendly relationship. Both of them used to come to the boarding school to celebrate their daughters’ birthdays.
Nazia shared that when Noor Jehan’s health became bad near the end of her life, it was Ejaz Durrani who took her to the hospital.
She added that sometimes she feels she is living a life just like her mother’s. She is also a single mother, lives separately, and takes care of her children the same way Noor Jehan used to. She cooks food for them herself and still feeds her younger son with her own hands.
As she is growing older, people tell her she looks more and more like her mother. Nazia feels like she is recreating her mother’s life.
