Famous Pakistani actor and host Faysal Quraishi shared an interesting story about his daughter meeting the legendary singer and Naat reciter, Junaid Jamshed.
Faysal Quraishi, who is currently hosting a Ramadan transmission on a private TV channel, told this story while talking with singer Haroon Shahid.
He said that when his daughter Ayat was around 3 years old, she was practicing the patriotic song “Dil Dil Pakistan” at her school for an event. At the same time, Junaid Jamshed called Faysal. When Faysal told his wife that he was going to meet Junaid Jamshed, she mentioned that Ayat was practicing his song at home.
Later, while talking to Junaid Jamshed, Faysal told him about Ayat singing his song, and Junaid immediately said, “Let’s go meet your daughter!”
Faysal called his wife to inform her that Junaid Jamshed was coming home, and little Ayat got very excited. She quickly got ready and waited for him. But as soon as she saw Junaid Jamshed, she started crying!
When Faysal asked her why she was crying, she replied, “You lied to me! This is not Junaid Jamshed!”
Faysal then realized that Ayat had only seen Junaid Jamshed in old videos from his younger days. Since he now had a beard and looked different, she did not recognize him.
To convince her, Junaid Jamshed sat down and sang “Dil Dil Pakistan” just for her. Faysal watched in amazement as Junaid Jamshed sang the full song to make Ayat believe it was really him!
