Shahzad Nawaz is a talented Pakistani actor and media personality. He began his career in advertising. Shahzad Nawaz was involved with a number of private channels and successfully launched several of them, including Nai Baat. Shahzad also co-produced the feature film Chambelli with Abdullah Kadwani. He appeared at Coke Studio as a voiceover artist for the songs. The actor has gained attention for his role in the popular Pakistani drama show Mein. Mr. Asif, played by Shahzad Nawaz, was a popular character among spectators. His second most popular drama was Let’s Try Mohabbat.

Recently, the actor appeared on Faysal Quraishi’s newly launched podcast, Pressure Buhat Hey. In the podcast, he discussed his comparison to Ranbir Kapoor.

To Faysal Quraishi’s inquiry, “Why didn’t fans call him Pakistani Shahzad Nawaz instead of saying he’s an older Ranbir Kapoor?” Shahzad Nawaz responded, “I believe that people should not compare each other like manner. My fans were also very vocal about this connection. Even though my fan base is small, I consider myself fortunate to have such outspoken supporters. I felt the same way. People in Pakistan enjoy making such parallels, but this one made me upset. They wrote that I’m an older Ranbir Kapoor rather than a younger Shahzad Nawaz. It is not biologically right as I was born before him.

The same is true for successful Pakistani businesspeople; they enjoy being referred to as the ‘Pakistani Bill Gates’ and take pride in it. We need to make our names bigger and better and be proud of them.”
