Why Umar Akmal Will Never Let His Son Play Pakistan Cricket

Pakistani cricketer Umar Akmal, known for his explosive batting and outspoken nature, has often been in the spotlight. Recently, he appeared on Hina Niazi’s show, where he made some surprising statements about his career struggles and his concerns about Pakistan cricket.

During the interview, Umar revealed that while his son enjoys playing cricket, he would never want him to represent Pakistan. He expressed his disappointment with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), stating that despite winning his case, the board wasted seven crucial years of his career. He believes PCB fails to respect its own players, which is why he does not want his son to face the same hardships.

He further shared that he has attempted to contact PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi but has been met with a cold response. According to Umar, the Chairman’s team treated him disrespectfully and did not even allow him to present his stance. This, he said, is heartbreaking, as he believes that without its players, PCB would not exist in the first place.
