Zara Noor Abbas Faces Backlash for Criticizing the Drama Industry
Renowned actress Zara Noor Abbas recently shared her views on the drama industry. She appeared on a private TV channel’s Ramadan transmission alongside her husband, actor Asad Siddiqui.
During the show, she openly discussed her career, personal life, and professional experiences. While talking about the Pakistani drama industry, Zara Noor Abbas remarked that the entertainment sector in Pakistan is so small that it should be called a community rather than an industry. She stated that here, a few people come together and decide to make a drama, whereas a real industry is one where every art form and its contributors are respected and recognized.
On the other hand, host and actor Danish Taimoor expressed a different opinion, praising the Pakistani drama industry. He said that despite being small, the television industry has grown rapidly in recent years.
A short video clip of Zara and Danish Taimoor’s conversation has gone viral on social media. Many internet users are criticizing the actress for her remarks. Some netizens claim that Zara Noor Abbas still lacks acting skills and often appears in dramas alongside her aunt, senior actress Bushra Ansari, and her mother, Asma Abbas.
